Kiddos on your beautifully done site! It is so nice to be able to read about the individually who gave the ultimate sacrifice and to see pictures of the quilts their families have received. I have (so far) made 20 blocks for NE quilts & have more in the works. Your site is a very valid testimony not only to the soldiers themselves & their families, but also to those who have made even a small contribution to these remembrances of them.

Darleena and Dawn (Nick too), Bravo on the website! What a great start. I'm wondering why the earlier losses (left-hand column) are taking two lines while the right side is single line - just formatting. Sorry to be picky, but it looked odd. I'm so glad you've gotten this up, and hope for the best for the Florida project. Jean

What a wonderful idea. As you state I'm sure that it gives great comfort to them to know that people are thinking of them and work so hard to show their feelings of gratitude to them and their sacrifice to keep our country safe.

You may be my sister-in-law, but i praise you for all the hard work you do for others. You work all day and then come home and work on this project for families who have lost loved ones. My love for you and my brother, who gives you the time in his life to let you do this, is over flowing. God has a special reward for you. Sis

Awesome webpage Dawn. You are doing such a great job. You are an inspiration and have helped rejuvenate some of us. This project is like a roller coaster ride. While I am not one of the "senior" coordinators, I have been plugging away for 2 years now so when new folks come on board it is refreshing and "renergizes" many of us. There are no words for how delightful you are. Loretta http://www.homeofthebravequilts.org

Aloha and welcome to the web site for the Home of the Brave Quilts Project for Hawaii. My name is Dawn Kucera and I am the state coordinator for the Hawaii Chapter. On the site, we have tried to give you a description and history of the project, but always focusing our attention on the our Fallen Heroes -- those soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines who have lost their lives in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are making these quilts to honor their memory and bring comfort to their families. I welcome your comments to our Message Board, and invite you to write to me anytime if you have comments or questions, or would like to help out.Thank you for visiting our site. With warm aloha, Dawn Kucera "One quilt at a time, we will remember them all."
